So, like the total nerd that I am I was browsing podcasts and I came across a really interesting one called philosophy bites so I thought I’d share the link- they’re short interviews with modern philosophers with a variety of topics and various important philosophers’ takes on them.

I just found this little old thing I wrote during freshman orientation and I thought it was kind of cute.
What life this place breathes into me!
Let me speak of no envy, no lust,
No unusual amount of care.
If I could only trap this day between my tiny teeth,
(And clench it just a little longer),
My lips, I swear, would be nothing but heralds-
Bringing forth declarations of these new freedoms,
And reclaiming their sweet, sweet innocence.
This was my final paper for Ancient Greek Philosophy with Professor Mikhalevsky- a comparison and evaluation of Aristotle’s and Epicurus’ views on friendship. I contend that friendship is an intrinsic good, yet Aristotle and Epicurus were too limited in their ethical frameworks to agree, even though they hint at it.
